چکیده
Abstract Background Delayed post-traumatic bleeding at various sites is known due to vascular abnormalities related structural changes in the vessel walls, form of pseudo aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations. epistaxis following facial trauma a distinct entity that presents as recurrent episodes from nose. History important differentiate it idiopathic intractable epistaxis, management which less dramatic beginning endoscopy electrocauterization. However, uncontrolled delayed usually requires embolization. We report rare case associated with multiple pseudoaneurysms (PA), inside concha bullosa, where even embolization was unsuccessful. Case presentation A 25-year-old male patient presented casualty referred Otorhinolaryngology department for profuse left nasal cavity, conservative measures like packing, electrocauterization did not help. Patient had history fall height bone fractures 1 month back. Angiography revealed blush dilatation (pseudoaneurysms) branches internal maxillary arteries, ascending pharyngeal labial arteries done Interventional Radiology Department. Post-embolization, again developed massive epistaxis. The explored under general anaesthesia, find out site bleed by endoscopy. Collected blood found bullosa. Conchoplasty middle turbinate cauterization vessels. no further discharged stable condition. He asymptomatic last 6 months. Conclusion Post-traumatic cause trauma. helps localization source cavity can identify pseudoaneurysmal dilatations Our highlights importance hidden points bullosa unresponsive

Concha bullosa is a relatively common anatomic variant that is in fact an enlarged pneumatized middle turbinate. We report a case of giant concha bullosa in a 21-year-old woman who had a history of nasal obstruction. Anterior nasal examination of the nasal cavity revealed bilateral nasal masses which were covered with normal mucosa. Nasal endoscopy of both nasal cavities was impossible because ...
متن کاملIntractable epistaxis secondary to a post-traumatic pseudoaneurysm.
Epistaxis is a common problem encountered in clinical practice. It is usually self-limiting and is usually controlled with conservative measures such as nasal compression or ice-packs. Occasionally nasal packing is required. It is rarely severe enough that surgical intervention is warranted. The following report illustrates a patient who presented to us with a rare cause of life-threatening epi...

INTRODUCTION Anatomic variations of the paranasal sinuses are very common. The paranasal sinus anatomy should be carefully examined prior to performing endoscopic sinus surgery in terms of both existent pathologies and anatomic variations. The anatomy of the paranasal sinuses and its variations have gained importance, along with advances in coronal paranasal sinus computed tomography and extens...
